"How long in advance should I book a DJ for my party?" 

As soon as you book your location. preferably six months to one year in advance. We do still book parties closer to the event date, but availability may present a problem.

"How much experience will my DJ have?"

All of our DJ's have at least seven years of experience.

"Do you provide a back-up system if anything should happen to the DJ or the sound system?"

Yes, we have stand-by entertainers and equipment in case any emergency should arise.


"Can I come and see you perform at a job.?" 

Unfortunately no. When a client books a party with us, we do not use that client to sell potential clients our services. We believe that would be an intrusion on their special event. Because we customize every event, what you would see would not accurately portray your party anyway.

"Will the DJ play the music to loud?" 

Absolutely Not! During cocktails and dinner, the music is played soft, so people can talk and enjoy themselves. During the dancing part of the evening, the volume is set to a level that is comfortable to the crowd and increased when Requested by the client.

"How much experience will my DJ have?"

All our wedding DJs have at least 7 years of experience, and are 25 years old or older. 

"What is a 'Crossover' wedding?" 

A Crossover wedding is when a reception overlaps two "timeslots". On any given Saturday, a disc jockey can perform a wedding reception from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. and then get to another location to perform from 7p.m. to 12a.m. Thus, an example of a crossover reception would run from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. 

"Is there ever a fee for a 'crossover' reception?" 

It depends on the season and availability. Generally speaking, Saturdays during May, June, September, and October are considered to be peak times, and a crossover fee may apply if a reception covers two time slots. This fee is usually $200 when applicable. 

Does the DJ take breaks?" 

No, we provide continuous music throughout the event.


"Will the DJ be properly dressed at my function?" 

Yes, all of  our DJs wear tuxedos, suits or however you specify that he/she should be dressed.

"Will the DJ communicate with the Maitre'd during my event?" 

Yes, the DJ will coordinate many aspects of your event with the Maitre'd, Photographer, Videographer and caterer to ensure that your event runs smoothly as possible.

"Will the Dj Be using a banner or running any contest to promote the DJ Company?

No, we do not advertise at your expense or have contest at a formal affair, unless requested by the client

 

 

"Will I have to provide anything for the DJ?"

Yes, the DJ will need at least two tables (6 ft, to 8 ft Long) for equipment and CD's. All halls should have the tables.

"What time will the DJ arrive at my event?"

The DJ will arrive 60 to 90 minutes prior to your reception/party to ensure that he/she will be ready before your guest arrive. 

"Do you provide a back-up system if anything should happen to the DJ or the sound system?"

Yes, we have stand-by entertainers and back-up sound systems to cover any emergency situation that may arise.

"Can you provide references?"

Yes, we have references to show you upon request

"How long in advance should I book my DJ?"

As soon as you book your location, anywhere between six months to two years.

"When Will the DJ contact me to go over my party plans?"

the Dj will contact you one week or more prior to your affair to review events, bridal party names, music selections and/or any last minute details.

"When and  how should I pay R&L Professional DJs?"

After you pay your deposit your date is locked in and you have until the day of your party to pay your balance. On the day of your affair only cash or money order will be accepted. If you pay the balance three or more weeks prior to your event, we will accept a personal check. Make all checks payable to: R&L Professional DJs 

 


Experience - 27 Years of  experience in wedding ceremonies and receptions;

All of our wedding entertainers have over 75 weddings under their belt before they go out on their own.

The average training period is 7 months.
