Rob Cannon

Ever since I was a young child I have always wanted to be an entertainer!  My first DJ experience came when I was asked to play the music at a surprise 21st birthday party.  Soon after that in 1974 I started my career as a DJ and created my own company “Rob Cannon’s Disco Music”.  The first official dance I played at was at the community “Y” in Lansdowne, PA..  Before long the company was doing jobs at school dances, proms, weddings, pool parties, birthday parties, bar/bat mitzvahs, and many other private parties.

As the disco era was fading I began to make some real changes.  “Rob Cannon’s Disco Music” became “R & L Music Express”.  During these early years a life long friendship developed when I was introduced to my mentor George Anthony.  George took me under his wing and taught me valuable information that helped my business to grow.  When the business was more successful I incorporated and changed its name to “R & L Professional DJ’s – The Best Sound Around!”  I performed at nearly every type of event with every type of format in the tri-state area.  I also performed in many popular nightclubs with many different formats including Mardi Gras for Club Music, Bee-Bop Café for Oldies, KP Corral for Country, and many others.  I adapted myself and the company to the wants and needs of the people as the times changed.

With all my years of experience as a full time disc jockey and running my own business I learned many things. The most important thing that I learned that separates R & L DJ’s from other companies is that customer service is our number one concern.  The customer deserves the right to customize their event to their wants and needs and have a quality entertainer. Our quality entertainers, equipment, customer service, and diversity are why we have stayed in business so long.
